5 up 5 down

Went for a 10km hike with Sista K and Johnny P this weekend. Hot and humid but a great 4 hours.

The only problem is, this is what I've to work with for the triathlon on Sunday...

yeah, thought i had some in my car, but i didn't. i am running low, so if you happen to remember...

the boots have always done this to me. i have yet to find boots that fit my scrawny heels/ankles.

The best thing you can do for such wonderful blisters is find some spenco Second Skin...not sure if it is available here, but it is awesome for blisters.

One layer of second skin, then moleskin on top.

If that doesn`t happen, put some sort of non-stick, absorbent (absorbant??) dressing on the blister, then tape over it with duct tape a couple hours before the event. DO NOT put duct tape directly on the blister...just in case you needed to be told!!

Ganbatte!!

thanks colin, i'm going to go looking for some second skin tonight.

blisters are coming along fine. i haven't had shoes or socks on since sunday! yay for summer. -also shows you how much training i've been doing....

still a little scabby though. I'll go for a run tomorrow and see how they feel.
